A Random Musing on my Last Post
It’s always difficult when there’s such a controversial subject to decide what to do. When I sat down yesterday to write about the incident regarding Bill Henson’s photograph I had to make a choice as to whether to reproduce the photograph in question on the blog.
I decided to do so because without the image people are not able to make an honest, open and informed decision regarding the argument themselves.
Some people will be shocked and appalled by the image and, yes, I have received the odd email of complaint.
Some people though see the photograph just as I do.
An expression of art.
Art is meant to be confronting.
It is meant to create emotion.
What’s the point of it if it doesn’t do that?
Art should always be more than just “Oooo, that look pretty!”

love the new backgrounds and colour.I have no objection to the photos some I like some I dont but I dont have to keep looking at the ones I dont like. we should be allowed to make our own choices and not be told what is or isnt porn.

So, if your interest in these images arises genuinely from higher aesthetic ideals than “getting Addy off,” then why is every damn photo of a woman? Are men not lovely to behold? Can their bodies not bear the weight of the photographer’s vision? Come on, at least throw your female readership a frickin’ bone once in a while! ;-)

Ms B, men are indeed lovely to behold, I spend many a few seconds checking myself out in the mirror so I can confirm on every level we are indeed works of art. Well, my opinion may differ to everyone else on the planet ;)
As such I have duly given myself a good spanking for this oversight and a new post has been made to further correct this heinous oversight.
